TelePacific Communications Joins Global Crossing Partner Program to Extend Reach of its Private IP MPLS Services
Los Angeles, California - May 19, 2008 -- TelePacific Communications, a leading provider of business telecommunications solutions with headquarters in California, today announced that it has joined Global Crossing's Global Partner Program (GPP) to expand the availability and enhance the services provided in TelePacific's private IP MPLS service. TelePacific's participation in Global Crossing's GPP complements a four-year relationship with ClearPath Networks and will enable TelePacific to offer its private IP MPLS service to its customers, wherever they may be, with increased bandwidth options.
"Customers now have additional opportunities to use TelePacific services in locations outside of our California and Nevada service footprint, which means they have more choices when selecting a telecommunications provider," said Cardi Prinzi, TelePacific's senior vice president of marketing. "And the addition of a Tier 1 data provider like Global Crossing as a partner is a major step for TelePacific as we continue to enhance our data service offerings, lead by the successful private IP MPLS services."
TelePacific's private IP MPLS service is a high-performance IP VPN service that provides private and secure communications between customer points of presence. It uses TelePacific's private IP backbone and boasts built-in security and fully-meshed site-to-site connectivity using the industry standard Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) protocol. Quality-of-service capabilities are available, as well, to provide customers with the confidence that their VoIP traffic will transit the network with the required service levels. The Extended Reach of these services increases TelePacific's effective service capability, which enables TelePacific to extend its full-service communications service to customers who may be outside of California and Nevada.
"We're very pleased to have TelePacific join our Global Partner Program," said Omar Altaji, Global Crossing's executive vice president, worldwide carrier services. "As TelePacific's business clients take advantage of globalization and IP convergence market trends, they can benefit from TelePacific's support model, strong regional presence and the global seamless network enabled by Global Crossing's IP infrastructure."
Global Crossing's Global Partner Program provides regional service providers the benefits of global reach, service expansion, reduced time-to-market and the ability to build a network or add service capabilities without significant investment. It enables providers to offer voice, video and data services to customers who may be out-of-region and gives providers a way to increase revenue by providing value-added services to customers in multiple markets.
A total of 57 partners are now part of the Global Partner Program, offering Global Crossing Fast-Track Services™ portfolio to their enterprise end-users. Global Crossing Fast-Track Services™ combine the business processes, products, services and system tools necessary for service providers to quickly offer their enterprise customers end-to-end global data solutions, backed by consistent Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The portfolio can help service providers avoid the costly expenditures and long lead times generally associated with service expansion. It also can help drive incremental revenue for a carrier by helping it provide additional opportunities to enterprise customers that need out-of-region IP-based solutions.
As part of Global Crossing Fast-Track Services™, the company also provides launch support to carriers, including on-boarding and training, sales collateral and dedicated partner team support, along with the tools necessary to effectively deliver a positive customer experience.
