If you're a customer, thank you for your business.
If you're considering doing business with us, thank you for visiting. We're proud to have built the world's first global IP-based network.
As CEO, I'm even prouder of the work the people of Global Crossing perform to help customers around the world benefit from our expertise. Their work has made us a recognized leader in delivering IP services in more than 60 countries.
In fact, Global Crossing recently was positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the challengers quadrant in its report entitled, "Magic Quadrant for U.S. Network Service Providers, 1H08." We believe this is yet another proof point that we're on the right track and are the alternative provider of choice.
This Magic Quadrant Report examines the U.S. wireline voice and data communications market, assessing a vendor's capability to provide these services to the business market. I'm as pleased with our showing in this latest Magic Quadrant as I am of the eight consecutive quarters of customer satisfaction when we scored 96 percent or better.
In fact, we continue to improve how we track our global metrics with customers. In the first quarter of 2008, we began integrating customer satisfaction metrics from Latin America into our overall results. This tracks nicely with the ongoing integration of our networks, processes and other operations on a global basis. I'm happy to report that our global figures - including feedback from customers in Latin America, Europe, the UK and North America - tell us that 97 percent of our customers are satisfied with our overall performance and 71 percent are very satisfied.
This ongoing focus on customer satisfaction is reflected in our commitment to customers called Project Alternative, our company's articulation of why Global Crossing really is different from our larger, less nimble competitors.
At Global Crossing, we're proud of the feedback we've gotten from customers, large and small, about how we make it easier for them to run their businesses. To have access to the information they need. And to use our products and services to delight their own customers.
We are committed, as always, to delivering the best IP solutions to help companies succeed. That's a commitment that comes from having successfully deployed the world's first global IP communications network.
Project Alternative is an articulation of the promise we make to our customers - 24 hours a day, seven days a week -- to be the best alternative in our industry for meeting their communications needs.
Whether it's customized solutions…superior technology…management expertise and more…the people of Global Crossing are delivering to help our customers grow. We're the company that pioneered MPLS technology, the first to deploy a global VoIP platform, and the first global provider with IPv6 natively deployed in both private and public backbone networks.
Our networks run particularly deep in the UK and Europe, and in North and South America. Even more important is our ability to provide our customers a service-reach capability to virtually anywhere in the world, offering an excellent alternative upon which to build their supplier base and improve their network reliability.
In the end, though, our customers tell us that our biggest differentiator is the one that makes us their best, most viable alternative choice - our reputation for delivering a best-in-class customer experience, with vibrant customer service and support. That customer experience currently sets us apart in our own industry, and we're currently working to make it among the best in any industry.
Impossible to do? Not when you have a global team of the most talented people in the industry, focused on serving customers better, faster, and more nimbly than lumbering competitors. When that occurs, amazing things can happen. Just ask our customers!
So please visit our Project Alternative web site and learn more about how this new way of thinking is delivering value to customers of Global Crossing.
