John R. Mulhearn, Jr.

Global Access Management
John R. Mulhearn, Jr. is executive vice president, global access management for Global Crossing. He is accountable for securing agreements and managing the cost structure for all global long-haul and local access (switched and special) capabilities in support of Global Crossing's carrier and enterprise customer segments, as well as for network infrastructure requirements.
Mr. Mulhearn joined Global Crossing in 2000, after 28 years at AT&T. During his tenure at AT&T, he held positions in sales, marketing, operations, regulatory, outsourcing and human resources. In 1993, he took an assignment in Canada to work for Unitel Communications Inc. (partially owned by AT&T) as senior vice president of sales and marketing. In that role, Mr. Mulhearn was responsible for government, national and regional commercial accounts.
Mr. Mulhearn received a bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University, and has attended executive management programs at Dartmouth College, American University and Penn State University. He resides in New Jersey with his wife, Bernadette, and three children, Aileen, Christine and Gregory.
